This pedal features a new "eight-quadrant multiplier" algorithm that allows for seamless transitions from ring modulation to frequency shifting. With precise tracking and a versatile LFO, the Radius provides a recipe for sonic success. It also includes four onboard preset slots and allows for a total of 100 presets to be recalled using USB MIDI control.         Red Panda Radius - experimental swiss pocket knife deluxe

        Ring modulators are age old. Analog ones were used a lot in the 60s and 70s. Unforgettable, how Eddie Jobson used the built in one in Yamaha's CS80 on the first UK album.

        Vangelis' Blade Runner soundtrack would miss an important futuristic ingredient without it. Then there was the curious case of frequency shifting. Harald Bode invented the Bode Shifter in the 60s.

        It took until recently, when smart geniuses like the good people at Red Panda and Pladask released a pedal that could do both. However it seems, they both can do so much more, Phaser, Tremolo. Additional range switches give even more sound options, frequency shifting has never been more rewarding than here. A mix knob allows to keep your main signal front center and just make it more gritty... or create the spaciest alien sounds. Amazing!
