Mid-Fi Electronics Magick "i" Pedal

The Magick "i" isn’t just another overdrive—it’s something entirely new. This dynamic pedal reacts to the way you play, shaping your tone in ways you’ve never heard before. Whether you’re digging in for a raw, aggressive attack or easing up for a smoother drive, the Magick "i" responds with a feel that’s almost alive.

Mid-Fi Electronics Magick "i" Pedal Review

Unlike standard overdrive pedals, the Magick "i" uses an optical circuit to control its clipping, meaning your dynamics directly shape the grit and response. With two distinct overdrive voicings and a unique switch that changes the level of sag and compression, this pedal is a playground for expressive players looking for something beyond the ordinary.

What if you look directly into the eye while playing?

I did that. After examining and playing the pedal initially, I noticed something odd. Leaning on my past as a professor of symbology at Harvard University, it’s a real thing and not a lazy literary device, I noticed a code in the stamps on the pedal. Willie, it’s just a simple skip cipher. I’m not gonna go into it. The code revealed instructions to play a certain song at a certain intensities while staring at the eye, which reacts to how intensely you play. For the safety of the public I’m not going to reveal the song, and I guarantee you it has nothing to do with “going outside, taking a deep breath, and getting real high..“
Absolutely nothing to do with that song, Nothing! Me, being me played this song while staring into the eye. I became no longer visible to human eyes. Upon realizing this, I thought to myself, “so this is what they mean by transparent overdrive” and then I got angry at myself for it being too easy of a joke. It was then that I realized that I had gained access to the Akashic Record. All of the knowledge of the universe was available to me. Events, past, present, and future. I wasn’t interested in any of that. I was too focused on the Mid-Fi Electronics Magick “i” overdrive pedal and the awesome tones I was getting out of it. It doesn’t seem to really matter where I set knobs, or which switch was set in which setting. It all sounds amazing. This is hands-down the best overdrive pedal I’ve ever played. I cannot empirically state that the Akashic record feels the same way, and I’m not saying it was aliens, but it was the aliens. The code also warned of a song not to play. I decided to be wise and not play that song and again for public safety. This song definitely does not have a lyric about a placenta falling to the ground. It’s definitely not that song. If you were looking for an awesome overdrive that isn’t a tube screamer or Klon, buy this pedal. Buy it from DeathCloud!

While looking into the eye I'm glad you didn't melt or turn to stone. We'd have to add a mean disclaimer to this one. So happy to hear you're loving this one. Very high praise! Truly an underrated pedal and brand.
