        The only explanation is witchcraft!

I don’t understand how this pedal works or creates the sounds that it does, witchcraft seems the only logical conclusion. To be clear I wasn’t really a digital amp, modeling guy. I am now, the hardware that you purchase is really kind of icing on the cake to the software. It is incredible. I play a 1977 Music Man 212 – HD One Thirty. This amp is loud and clean, and I have never been able to turn it up loud enough to get it to break up without destroying my hearing and annoying everyone in a square mile. I used the software to do an amplifier capture of my amp. It sounds the same, and I can crank the gain loud enough on the capture to get it to break up. I was able to make a capture of my amp using a pre-sinus digital interface from I don’t know when and a Sennheiser 609. The software does not allow you to capture the reverb or tremelo of your amplifier. But there are tons of great reverb options built-in to the software. As well as compression, noise gate, modulation, and delay. I really like spring reverb 4 it is really easy to get that reverb drip. There are tons of different types of amplifiers and drive pedals to choose from. You can also get other users captures for free form the software via ToneNET. Additionally, there are third-party vendors that provide captures. I bought a capture of a ToneKing Imperial MK II from Amalgam for whatever €17 is in US dollars that’s like a $3000 amp that I got for under 20 bucks. The fact is, I only need to bring my pedleboard to gigs. I can practice at low volume or with headphones and it still sounds like I am playing through my beloved amplifier. The real question is, can you afford not to spend $400 and add this to your rig? I took a chance on this pedal after seeing Frank Black on his Teenager of the Year tour recently. There wasn’t an amplifier on stage. His guitar player for this tour, Lyle Workman, was using this pedal into a DI as his amplification. Anyway, I love this pedal, I love the software, I love the flexibility, I love that I could literally go play somewhere with just this pedal. If you are currently using amp modeling, or plan to this is the way to go. I also purchased their smaller version the ToneX One pedal for my bass rig. Another unit that is also a really great unit the only downfall being is that it comes with the free version of the software rather than the full version that is included with the Tone X pedal. So buy this pedal, love this pedal, embrace how it changes your life, ponder, whether or not science or witchcraft created it. Doesn’t matter? You should also buy this from DeathCloud because they are the best.

Witchcraft indeed!! Thank you for the detailed review and for the DeathCloud support. We appreciate you so much.
