Hiwatt DR504 Custom Guitar Amplifier Head

The Hiwatt DR504 Custom Guitar Amplifier Head delivers the bold, clear British tone that musicians have trusted for decades. Its 50-watt design gives you plenty of volume and headroom while still letting you push the amp toward natural breakup at more manageable recording levels. Whether you're playing guitar, bass, keys, or running pedals, the DR504 brings out every detail with impressive clarity.

Hiwatt DR504 Custom Guitar Amplifier Head Review

Built around Dave Reeves' original late 1960s circuit, the Hiwatt DR504 uses four ECC83 preamp tubes and two EL34 power tubes to produce its signature clean and responsive tone. The Normal and Bright channels each feature high and low inputs, giving you plenty of ways to shape your setup. You can also link the channels together for more punch and control. With a shared three-band EQ, Presence control, and Master Volume, the DR504 works just as well in the studio as it does on stage. Its excellent clarity also makes it a strong choice for pedal-heavy rigs.
