Hiwatt DR103 Combo (SA212) Guitar Amplifier
The Hiwatt DR103 Combo (SA212) Guitar Amplifier brings huge, powerful guitar tone into a classic vertical 2x12 combo design. Built as a tribute to the amps made for Noel Gallagher in the 2000s, it delivers bold cleans, rich overdrive, and plenty of volume for the stage. The two Fane Purpleback speakers sit higher in the cabinet, making it easier to hear your playing while keeping the controls within easy reach. If you want a serious rock amp with plenty of character, this limited edition Hiwatt is hard to overlook.
Hiwatt DR103 Combo (SA212) Guitar Amplifier Review
At its heart, the Hiwatt DR103 Combo (SA212) Guitar Amplifier uses Hiwatt's 100 watt DR circuit, based on the original design by Dave Reeves. Four ECC83 preamp tubes and four EL34 power tubes help deliver its strong response and natural tube overdrive. The Normal and Bright channels each feature a push pull boost modification that adds more gain and low end when you need it. You can also jumper the channels together for more tonal control. With a rugged 18mm birch ply cabinet, two UK built Fane Purpleback 12 inch speakers, and carefully hand wired construction, this amp is built to handle serious stage use.
