Anode Effects Treble Maker Pedal

The Treble Maker is a meticulously crafted germanium treble booster designed to elevate your lead sound without overwhelming bass. Inspired by the iconic Dallas Rangemaster, this pedal captures the quintessential Brian May and early Eric Clapton tones while offering modern convenience and reliability. Built with NOS components, including rare Sprague capacitors and precision resistors, the Treble Maker ensures consistent, high-quality performance. Its NPN germanium transistor eliminates the need for special power supplies, making it pedalboard-friendly. With a three-way switch to control bass levels and a gain knob for precise volume boost, the Treble Maker is your key to cutting through the mix with classic Germanium character.

Anode Effects Treble Maker Pedal Details

Treble boosters are the perfect solution if you just need a little extra push when using an overdriven amp or pedal that may sound too muddy in a solo. The original Rangemaster is the key to the quintessential Brian May or early Eric Clapton tone. The Treble Maker is a modern, pedalboard-friendly solution to get that lead tone that cuts through the mix and still has the classic Germanium character.

The Treble Maker is based on the original Dallas Rangemaster, but it uses an NPN germanium transistor, eliminating the need for any special power cables or worrying about an isolated power supply. The Treble Maker can be placed on any pedalboard and treated like a normal pedal in production today. All of the circuit components are made with NOS components that are individually tested before being put into the pedal. I found a large stash of Sprague 50uF capacitors that are the value used in the original Rangemaster. I also use vintage precision resistors to keep the pedal sounding consistent for as long as possible. The transistor is NPN Germanium that is individually tested, I offer the option to either use Japanese or Soviet transistors because they are known for their low leakage and high reliability.

The 3-way switch controls how much bass is allowed into the pedal. The center is the most trebly and least bass, the traditional treble booster. The switch-up adds a bit more bass, and the switch-down adds even more bass.

The gain knob controls how much volume is being increased. Around noon is unity, and as it is turned up, the more the amp or pedal after it is being pushed.

It is recommended for best results to have the Treble Maker first in the chain.

The Treble Maker uses high-quality components, such as an Alpha footswitch and top-mounted Lumberg Jacks, and includes a lifetime warranty.

Only run with a +9V center negative power supply.
