The Dreaming paints a sonic picture of an ominous dream that keeps repeating every time you fall asleep, always popping back into your head as you drift off to sleep. Its melancholic modulation pulls you back and forth like the waves of the REM cycle.

The Dreaming uses multiple PT2399 processors to maintain repeat clarity at long delay times. Its analog delay character is extra convincing when the modulation is dialed in. A Main and Dry output is included for those who would like to experiment with sending 2 separate signals out of the pedal. The Warp switch is an excellent tool for expressive swells that add movement and texture to your sound. The Dreaming is handmade with quality components in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is an absolute dream to play with!

Schu-Tone The Dreaming Pedal Controls

  • Bypass (right) switch: Engages the effect. Can be used momentarily or latching.
  • Warp (Left) Switch: Momentary effect that creates feedback swells at two different regeneration speeds.
  • Warp Toggle: Switches between a fast swell (Left position) and a slow swell (Right position).
  • Dry Toggle: Removes the dry signal (wet only in right position)
  • Speed Toggle: Three-way switch that selects modulation speed. (Left is faster, Center if off, right is slower)
  • Flutter: Adjusts the depth of modulation
  • Delay: Sets the delay time (25ms - 1 sec)
  • Mix: Sets level of the delayed signal
  • Repeat: Controls the amount of feedback
  • Tone: Brightens the repeats as knob is turned clockwise

Quite and interesting delay

First off I'm only giving this pedal 4 stars due to I think the warp feature could be better incorporated. Otherwise this is quite perfect for the type of music we play I use it to create a very dreamy soundscape especially when mixed with hall reverb and heavy distortion. That being said, this is not a normal delay it's different and a little difficult to dial in to your pedal board. If you want something normal I'd go look at a black fountain v3 or boss but if you like to experiment and stretch things to their limit then this is definitely for you.
