Who is Strymon?
Strymon is a boutique pedal maker based in Southern California, known for creating some of the most inspiring and reliable guitar effects in the world. They design and build every pedal in-house, blending creative innovation with rock-solid craftsmanship.
From lush reverbs to rich delays and versatile modulation, Strymon pedals help musicians shape their sound with ease and confidence.
History of Strymon
Strymon’s story began in 2004 when three engineers—Gregg Stock, Pete Celi, and Dave Fruehling—left big corporate jobs to form Damage Control Engineering. Their early tube-driven pedals like the Glass Nexus and original TimeLine gained attention for blending analog warmth with advanced sound processing.
In 2009, they rebranded as Strymon, launching the all-analog OB.1 compressor and kicking off a string of groundbreaking pedals. Over the years, icons like the BigSky, El Capistan, Mobius, and Volante have set new standards in the effects world.
Built entirely in the USA, Strymon continues to push boundaries while keeping quality and playability at the heart of every design.
