Its two independent filters let you shape your tone in countless ways, from classic auto wah sounds to sweeping, rhythmic movements and unusual textures. Keep things simple with one filter or combine both to explore new ideas. With built-in presets, MIDI control, and plenty of ways to adjust how each filter moves, Float V2 gives you the freedom to create sounds that stand out.

Old Blood Float V2 Guitar Pedal Review

The Float V2 Old Blood Pedal features a digitally controlled dual analog filter engine built around state variable filters. Both pedals feature two independent analog filters with low pass, band pass, and high pass modes. They also offer LFO and envelope modulation, expression control, and multiple routing options for creating unique filter effects. However, the Float V2 introduces several important upgrades that make it more versatile and easier to use.

One of the biggest differences is the addition of MIDI support and presets. While the original Float V1 does not offer these features, the V2 lets you save up to three presets directly on the pedal and access up to 127 presets through MIDI. It also supports MIDI control over all parameters, including tempo synchronization through MIDI clock. This makes it easier to recall favorite settings and integrate the pedal into more advanced setups.

The Float V2 also expands its modulation controls with dedicated Rate, Depth, and Shape knobs for each filter. These adjustments give you more direct control over how the filters move and respond to your playing. The original V1 offers additional hidden settings for LFO phase, envelope speed, and modulation range, while the V2 provides a more expanded control system. Another useful addition is the Aux footswitch, which can be assigned to tap tempo or preset switching.

Both versions retain the core dual-filter design, independent filter controls, Sync functionality, expression input, and flexible signal routing. However, the Float V2 refines the original design, reduces unwanted noise, and adds features that make it a more capable tool for creative sound shaping.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors Float V2 Effect Pedal Features

Two independent filters let you create classic effects or combine them for more unusual tones.

Choose from different filter types to shape your sound, from smooth and warm to bright and focused.

Add movement that responds to your playing or creates steady, rhythmic sweeps.

Adjust the speed, depth, and shape of filter movement to match your playing style.

Save favorite sounds with three onboard presets or access up to 127 presets through MIDI.

Use stereo routing, expression control, and tap tempo to fit the pedal into a wide range of setups.

<img src="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0676/3692/0550/files/Old_Blood_Noise_Float_V2_Pedal_Lifestyle_2.jpg?v=1792131310" alt="Front view of Old Blood Noise Float V2 Pedal Mint, Ocean, and Cotton Candy on top workbench" style="margin-bottom: 16px;
